Minimally Invasive Surgery, Transplantology and Orthopedics Department

Surgery through minimal incisions, organ transplantation, and treatment of spine, bone and joint diseases in children.

The Minimally Invasive Surgery, Transplantology and Orthopedics Department of the Children's National Medical Center performs high-tech surgery for children from the first days of life up to 18 years of age.

We specialize in treating congenital malformations and complex diseases of the liver and pancreas, and we also perform organ transplants and the full range of laparoscopic and thoracoscopic operations in children.

  3. Preparation — a specialist case conference, choice of the optimal procedure, and preparation of the child and family
  4. Surgery — the operation is performed using minimally invasive techniques and modern equipment
  5. Post-operative period — observation in intensive care (if needed), then in the specialized ward with round-the-clock monitoring
  6. Rehabilitation — recovery, outpatient follow-up and long-term support, including for patients after transplantation
